惑星ネオ・エーテルは、その名の通り、表向きは惑星リリナスによる銀河連邦辞書編纂図書館設立財団として、ひっそりとその役目を果たしていた。
しかし、ネオ・エーテルが所属するマンダマン星区で独立運動が勃発すると、ネオ・エーテルは惑星マンダマンからの独立を果たすどころか、これを機に一気にマンダマン星区を制圧下に置いてしまう。
その立役者となったのが、ジル・エフォーラムその人であった。だが、彼の本格的な活躍にはまだ十年の歳月が必要となる。
ドナック家は、リセルの娘、ドーラの時代になっていた。あらかじめお断りしておくが、ここで言うドーラは、ラムダ・グリスの妻と同じファーストネームを持つ、もう一人の別人のドーラである。
ヒューの盟友シャウ・リーガルは、惑星リリナスにいる仲間たちとの絆を強く守り続け、ドナックを大いに助け、その死後もドナック家を支え続けていた。
一方、シャウは惑星ネオ・エーテルを次の段階へ進めようと、着々と計画を進めていた。

「あの母さん、リセル。ずっと美しく、人々に愛された幸せな人生だった。不思議な力を内に秘めていたけれど、それを決して表には出さなかった人。最後に私に渡してくれたのは、紫色に輝くシリンダー。私は、これで何をすればいいのだろう？ 母は『優しさだけが、人が生きる意味だ』と言っていた。その他のことはどうでもいい、とも。
以前、叔母エルマと親しかったというシャウ・リーガル（三人目のクロノ・ブルーマー）は、惑星リリナスと惑星ネオ・エーテルの間を行き来していた人だが、あるとき、惑星リリナスに長く滞在していたにもかかわらず、わざわざここ惑星ネオ・エーテルまで私に会いに来てくれたことがあった。叔母エルマの死期が迫っていて、私に会いたいと言っているとのことだった。
そして、それから8年経てば、銀河連邦辞書編纂図書館で、ラムダ・グリスの第一回目の『時間回廊』のホログラムが公開されると教えてくれた。そのお膳立てはすべて、父がリリナスにいた最後の年に用意したものだという。ホログラムには映らないだろうけれど、きっとヒューも側にいるはずだとも。ぜひ見たい——祖父ラムダ・グリスの姿を。
母リセルが私を愛してくれていたのは当然のことだが、隣に住む子、ジル・エフォーラムのことも、とても可愛がっていたのを覚えている。あの子は今、市議会議員になったばかりだけれど。もしかすると、このネオ・エーテルの命運を握る人物になるかもしれない！」

As its name suggests, the planet Neo-Aether outwardly served as the Galactic Federation Dictionary Compilation Library Foundation, established by the planet Lilinas, quietly fulfilling its role behind the scenes.
However, when an independence movement erupted in the Mandaman Sector, to which Neo-Aether belonged, Neo-Aether not only achieved independence from the planet Mandaman but seized the opportunity to bring the entire Mandaman Sector under its control.
The key figure behind this remarkable rise was none other than Jill Eforum. Yet ten more years would pass before his true prominence would fully emerge.
The Donack family had now entered the era of Dora, the daughter of Risel. To avoid confusion, the Dora referred to here is not the wife of Lambda Griss, who shared the same first name, but another woman entirely.
Hugh’s ally, Shaw Regal, continued to preserve his strong bonds with his companions on the planet Lilinas. He greatly assisted Donack and, even after Donack’s death, remained a steadfast supporter of the Donack family.
Meanwhile, Shaw was steadily advancing his plans to lead Neo-Aether into its next stage of development.
From this point onward, the story belongs to the next generation.

“My mother, Risel, remained beautiful throughout her life and was loved by many. She possessed a mysterious power within her, yet she never displayed it openly. The last thing she entrusted to me was a cylinder glowing with a violet light. What am I supposed to do with it? Mother always said, ‘Kindness alone is the reason people live.’ She also said that everything else was of little importance.
Shaw Regal, who had once been close to my aunt Elma and was known as the Third Chrono Bloomer, frequently traveled between the planets Lilinas and Neo-Aether. One day, despite having stayed on Lilinas for a long period, he came all the way to Neo-Aether specifically to see me. He told me that Aunt Elma’s final days were approaching and that she wished to see me.
He also informed me that eight years later, the first holographic presentation of Lambda Griss’s Corridor of Time would be unveiled at the Galactic Federation Dictionary Compilation Library. He said that all the arrangements for the event had been prepared by my father during his final year on Lilinas. Although Hugh would not appear in the hologram, Shaw believed he would surely be there in spirit, standing beside him. I would love to see it—the image of my grandfather, Lambda Griss.
Naturally, Mother Risel loved me dearly, but I also remember how fond she was of the child living next door, Jill Eforum. He has just become a city council member. Perhaps he may one day become the person who holds the fate of Neo-Aether in his hands!”
